Black warp threads and heather green weft threads combine to make a shimmering, holographic color. The soft silvery green hues sparkle as the light hits it one way and the darker heather green threads show when the light hits it the other way.  This soft changing color is a beautiful subtle statement. Dupioni silk has a "raw" look, with uneven thread sizes and "slubbs" occasionally in the weave. It makes exquisite embroidered pillow tops, some upholstery, stunning skirts and dresses and evening gowns. (it even talks to you as you move). It's also attractive in lovely pants or tops. And of course, it's elegant enough for wedding dresses. Can be machine washed but will loose it's body. It can be restored with ironing and starch. Dry cleaning is recommended.
