JANUARY 2020 NEWSLETTER

HAPPY NEW YEAR y’all !! You’ve probably heard that a thousand time by now. I think it bears repeating. A new year and a new decade. What a wonderful opportunity for a fresh new start. (Yes, I know there are those who argue that it is the last year of the last decade, not the first year of a new decade. I prefer to think of it the beginning of a new year and a new decade.) Maybe because I’m ready to give the last decade the big boot, it wasn’t a good decade for us personally. Too many trying...

DECEMBER 2019 NEWSLETTER

“A day late and a dollar short” seems to be my motto lately. Too much to do and not enough hours in a day. But, part of the reason this letter is later this month, was to avoid having this newsletter/blog get lost in the Black Friday/Cyber Monday crush in your inboxes.  I decided to wait until today to send it out. HAPPY HALLOWEEN 🎃 and H E L L O WINTER !!!!! 💨😱 What just happened?!? I don’t know about the rest of y’all, but we just went form the 90’s to the 30’s in less than 48 hours. What a shock. (mine is so jammed packed with projects and supplies, it can’t help but be cozy 🤪) It’s the perfect weather for making quilts, warm Cuddle throws and flannel jammies. All...

OCTOBER 2019 NEWSLETTER

I enjoy reading in the evenings to relax before I go to sleep. My daughter brought me a book a couple of months ago to read. It sat on the table for a few weeks and she kept asking me if I had read it. Finally, I finished a book I was reading and decided to pick up my daughter’s book and read it. It turned out to be a fabulous read. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was about family traditions & recipes. The bond forged between the women of generations through these passed down recipes. It reminded me of...

SEPTEMBER 2019 NEWSLETTER

“Dog Days of Summer”. I never really understood that saying until this summer. All I want to do is lay around! And that my friends, is just not me! It has been so hot and muggy here in the Hill Country that it’s tough to find my get up and go. However, with September dawning, we are ever hopeful for cooler weather. We have had to shut down the whole house building project because of the excessive heat. It’s tough to pour concrete when it’s in the 90’s and up. We are anxious to get going again. Fingers crossed for...
