Is it just me, or does it seem like this year has disappeared at the snap of your fingers ?? 😳 I don’t know where the time goes. I’m constantly reminded of the Fiddler on the Roof song about how fast time flies. It’s down right scary !! But life marches on and it’s November, my favorite month ☺️. YAY ! We finally have some cooler weather, and cooler weather is such a relief after a long and very hot summer. Time to settle down and relax and take a little time to breath. Besides sewing, I love to read. I try to read for relaxation every day. I love historical novels set in the Regency and Medieval time periods. I love reading the descriptions of the sumptuous clothing they wore, both men and women. Rich velvets, embroidered silks, handmade lace from France. As summer winds down and schools are back in session, our thoughts turn back to our sewing projects and holidays. Halloween is next and I know there are lots of y’all out there that love Halloween. It’s my oldest daughter’s favorite holiday. She goes all out for the whole month of October, several changes of costumes and complete decorations inside and out. I know some of y’all do the same. Is it hot enough for you ?!?!?!? It seems that July has apologized this morning, for being so brutal, with the brief rain shower. It’s been a weird year for weather. Unusual winter and spring and now a record hot summer. I hope y’all are staying cool. At home, we built a nice screened in porch to enjoy, but it’s been too HOT to use it. HAPPY 4TH OF JULY !! Time to celebrate all the wonderful freedoms that we enjoy in here in this, the most wonderful country on Earth. (no offense intended to other countries) I have family in Canada, friends in England & Tahiti and my youngest daughter lived in Japan for 4 years.
