FEBURARY NEWSLETTER/BLOG 2023

Hello loyal friends and Sewists,I didn’t realize that my last newsletter/blog post was last August. Where does the time go?? It seems to be harder and harder for me to juggle everything. I think I may be suffering some level of burn out. The holidays (Oct thru Dec) were a blur of activities and deadlines. Does it seem like time is speeding up to y’all ? or is it just me? WHEW !! Add to the time crunch, the stress of having my long arm machine give me fits. It’s older and I think I am it’s 3rd owner. So...

July 2021 Blog/Newsletter

Happy July to all. I hope y’all had a wonderful and safe 4th celebrations. We had a fairly quiet one. We sat out in the screened in porch and watch the neighbors fireworks. LOL!  By 10 pm we were peacefully in bed asleep. The wonderful thing about where we live is the peace and quiet at night. I hope I haven’t lost y’all in the process. But it is starting to come together, slowly. We have had to make some major adjustments to our plans. The price...

MAY 2019 NEWSLETTER

It’s May. 🎶 It’s May, 🎶 the lusty month of May 🎶………(the spring song from Camelot) I don’t know how “lusty” our month of May will be, but it’s starting out pretty “blustry”. With all the rain we have had, the weeds are rampant. I spent half a day outside weeding & I’m paying the price for that now. OOOOOOhh, old age is not for sissys! We made an unexpected road trip on Monday. We were hoping to see lots of wildflowers, and we did. But no Texas Bluebonnets, lots of pretty yellow and red & yellow flowers and a...

APRIL 2019 NEWSLETTER

Here it is, the end of another very busy month and headed into the next. As the saying goes, “April showers bring May flowers”. But here in the Texas Hill Country, it’s bumped up a month or so, “winter rains, bring glorious flowers”. I’ve seen pictures of the bluebonnets blooming in wild display. That’s encouraging. It’s been a rough winter and it still seems to hang on, not letting go, but this morning, I found a beautiful promise that spring is really here. This is the first of my Iris to bloom this year, and it’s a magnificent specimen. I...
