The Latest here at the Cottage — Grab Bag

As summer winds down and schools are back in session, our thoughts turn back to our sewing projects and holidays. Halloween is next and I know there are lots of y’all out there that love Halloween. It’s my oldest daughter’s favorite holiday. She goes all out for the whole month of October, several changes of costumes and complete decorations inside and out. I know some of y’all do the same. Is it hot enough for you ?!?!?!? It seems that July has apologized this morning, for being so brutal, with the brief rain shower. It’s been a weird year for weather. Unusual winter and spring and now a record hot summer. I hope y’all are staying cool. At home, we built a nice screened in porch to enjoy, but it’s been too HOT to use it. HAPPY 4TH OF JULY !! Time to celebrate all the wonderful freedoms that we enjoy in here in this, the most wonderful country on Earth. (no offense intended to other countries) I have family in Canada, friends in England & Tahiti and my youngest daughter lived in Japan for 4 years.
