Happy Valentine’s Day to all I’m late this month, I apologize, life gets in the way. I had some good news the end of January, but it has taken up all my time for the last week. Right when I should have been writing this blog, isn’t that always the way it goes? And I have to confess, I’m having writers block 😩, or maybe it’s a brain fog due to our crazy erratic weather. I really need to be 5 different people to be able to get everything done on time. The new year has hit the ground running...

HAPPY NEW YEAR y’all !! You’ve probably heard that a thousand time by now. I think it bears repeating. A new year and a new decade. What a wonderful opportunity for a fresh new start. (Yes, I know there are those who argue that it is the last year of the last decade, not the first year of a new decade. I prefer to think of it the beginning of a new year and a new decade.) Maybe because I’m ready to give the last decade the big boot, it wasn’t a good decade for us personally. Too many trying...

“A day late and a dollar short” seems to be my motto lately. Too much to do and not enough hours in a day. But, part of the reason this letter is later this month, was to avoid having this newsletter/blog get lost in the Black Friday/Cyber Monday crush in your inboxes. I decided to wait until today to send it out. I hope y’all had a great Thanksgiving with your family and friends. We did and I ended up cooking 2 separate Thanksgiving dinners! Too many busy conflicting schedules for my whole family to get together in 1 place...

HAPPY HALLOWEEN 🎃 and H E L L O WINTER !!!!! 💨😱 What just happened?!? I don’t know about the rest of y’all, but we just went form the 90’s to the 30’s in less than 48 hours. What a shock. No transition season, just hot summer and BAM, freezing temps. Whoever pissed off Mother Nature, PLEASE apologize! In spite of the sudden temperature changes, the sewing room is cozy. (mine is so jammed packed with projects and supplies, it can’t help but be cozy 🤪) It’s the perfect weather for making quilts, warm Cuddle throws and flannel jammies. All...

I enjoy reading in the evenings to relax before I go to sleep. My daughter brought me a book a couple of months ago to read. It sat on the table for a few weeks and she kept asking me if I had read it. Finally, I finished a book I was reading and decided to pick up my daughter’s book and read it. It turned out to be a fabulous read. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was about family traditions & recipes. The bond forged between the women of generations through these passed down recipes. It reminded me of...
