Hello friends and Sewists,

Happy Holidays and Happy Winter Solstice!! The days start getting longer now and we can all use a bit more light in our lives. It’s been a long and miserable year in many ways. We are deeply sorry for so many losses this year and hope all those closely effected are doing well.

I have been very busy with way too many projects in the works. Somedays it’s overwhelming. But I still enjoy being in my sewing studio and being creative.  Creative activities are so therapeutic and relaxing. I managed to design a new tea cozy and make up a couple of them by request from my granddaughter.

(pattern will be available here as soon as I get it finished)

I’m really getting into using and learning more about my embroidery machine. It’s so much fun!! I’ve designed and gathered fabric for 3 more quilt projects I want to do. (like I need another project!!) Now I really want to get them done instead of the other things on my plate. (please tell me I’m not the only one to do this kind of insanity)

We are finally to the finishing parts of our vacation cottage. I planned to have all the tiling and grouting done on the new bathroom upstairs, before now. But revolving visits from the kids has kept me from getting the work done. So that’s on the list for after Christmas. Then back to painting and more painting. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

We are looking forward to a brighter year ahead and all the potential it holds for us all. You never know what’s just around the corner, fingers crossed for smooth sailing, we all need it!

Wishing y’all a very wonderful holiday season. We are ever appreciative of your support and friendship. It’s heartwarming to hear your stories and experiences and we feel the kinship and glow of love. We have high hopes for many things in our life, may 2022 be kind to us all. And may you have a wonderful and safe Holiday Season with your family and friends. We wish you all the very best.

Stay Safe and Keep Sewing,
Donette
